Fractals turn mathematics into art.

Fractals by Justin are beautiful, high resolution colorful images generated by computer with the guided hand of someone who takes number-crunching to heart.

Using a variety of complex equations, he creates stunning swirling fractal art; some reminiscent of stained glass while others resemble celestial pictures from the Hubble Space Telescope.

The shapes and hues are determined by the sequence of numbers and repeating detail to produce irregular curves and shapes.

By delving into the numbers on the computer screen, Justin manipulates the computerized geometry, resulting in colorful artwork that adds beauty to your home or office.

A computer engineer with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, Justin's interest in fractals started nearly three decades ago. He sees it as a natural off-shoot from his computer background.

Justin often noodles around with an equation to pass the time; much like a wordsmith would tackle a Sunday crossword puzzle. After a short while, he zooms in to a subset of the equation and voila! that region will be in the image.

While you may find fractal programs on the market, Justin's art stems from original equations, inspired by early fractals from mathematicians Benoit Mandelbrot and Gaston Julia.

Mandelbrot coined the term Fractal or "fractured" when creating the first computerized shapes of their kind forty years ago. The result remains - art by the numbers.
